In 1983, with the help of Professor of Medicine Michel BOULANGER in Nancy, and Mr Guy ALBRECHT (from Port since 1975), a chemical engineer from ESSTIN in Nancy, now Polytech, a health safety system was put in place using 100% natural clays for spa users. With its 9 spa resorts, the Grand Est region is one of the top regions for spa treatments.
Its main objective is to promote the benefits of spa treatments to the general public and to support the development of spa activities in the region. The Federation also works to improve the quality of services offered by spas, and to encourage innovation and research in this field.
